Competence Evaluation
Competence Evaluation involves an objective measure of the occupational therapist’s capacity to perform adequately in the essential knowledge, skills/abilities, required roles, and necessary work context. This is done within the practice setting itself and by 2014, the COTM CCP expects to employ peer assessors to conduct onsite practice assessments. Competence Evaluation will only be carried out if there is a need for more assessment identified during the Competence Review.
Other methods of Competence Evaluation include Objective Standardized Examination.
