Competence Review
Within the context of a CCP, Competence Review refers to objective or direct inspection of evidence of continuing competence by designated regulatory representatives. The COTM CCP is being designed to provide at least one Competence Review experience for registered OTs in each five year period.
In the new COTM CCP, Competence Review will consist of examination of completed Continuing Competence Program materials such as Self-Assessments, Professional Development Plans (PDPs) and completed Prescribed Regulatory Education Module worksheets. Another method of reviewing competence is via methods to gather objective feedback from clients and coworkers.
