Practice Guidelines
Practice guidelines are developed by the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba to help occupational therapists meet ACOTRO's Essential Competencies of Practice for Occupational Therapists in Canada by:
- increasing members' knowledge of their responsibilities,
- describing expectations for practice,
- defining safe, ethical, competent practice, and
- guiding critical thinking for everyday practice.
Presently, COTM has four guidelines:
- Occupational Therapy Consultation to Third Parties
- Client Records in Occupational Therapy Practice
- Assignment and Supervision in Occupational Therapy Practice
-
Informed Consent in Occupational Therapy Practice
